How to fix the Navigation Pane when it doesn’t show your document headings.

The Navigation Pane only shows text formatted with built-in Heading styles (Heading 1, 2, 3). If your headings are just bold/large text, apply the actual Heading style from the Styles gallery.

3. Start Word in Safe Mode — If the issue persists, press Windows + R, type winword /safe, and test
