Fix: Word Safe Mode Startup Issues

Word crashes on startup or refuses to open, but you’re unable to launch it even in Safe Mode to isolate add-ins. Or Safe Mode works, but when you return to normal mode, the problem persists. Safe Mode is typically used to troubleshoot, but when that fails too, the problem is severe.

Step 1: Verify You’re Actually in Safe Mode

Corrupted registry entries prevent Safe Mode loading.

1. Close Word
2. Press Windows Key + R
3. Type: regedit and press Enter
4. Navigate to: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Word
