Fix: абзац Spacing Wrong or Inconsistent in Word

Paragraphs have inconsistent spacing—some have lots of space between them, others have very little. Double-spacing appears between some paragraphs but not others. You can’t control spacing manually; Word adds its own space. Applying spacing changes in one абзац doesn’t affect others. Your документ looks unprofessional with random spacing throughout.

Step 1: Understand Spacing Types

Word distinguishes between “space before/after абзац” and “line spacing.”

3. Line Spacing: Space between lines WITHIN a single абзац (Single, 1.5, Double, etc.)

Step 2: Clear Direct Formatting

Direct formatting overrides стиль spacing and causes inconsistency.

1. Select all text that has spacing problems

Word provides quick spacing presets.
