GenText developer and agent access
GenText helps academics draft, cite, and edit in the browser, with an optional Microsoft Word add-in.
Read the public website
Public product information, guides, templates, and policies are available without a login. Start with llms.txt, the curated agent index, or the sitemap for the full page inventory. llms-full.txt provides an expanded reference; it is not an API specification.
Request an existing HTML page with Accept: text/markdown to read its main content as Markdown. Use the HTTP status to detect missing pages; a 404 is not product content. Follow redirects and respect robots.txt and page-specific indexing directives.
curl --fail --location -H 'Accept: text/markdown' https://gentext.ai/developers/
curl --fail --location https://gentext.ai/llms.txt
Application and API access
The public website and the signed-in product are separate. Use the GenText app and its normal sign-in flow for product features. Public website access does not grant access to user documents, accounts, or paid capabilities.
We do not currently offer a documented self-service public API, public API keys, an official MCP server, or an agent SDK. There is no supported public OpenAPI specification to import for third-party tool calling. Internal application endpoints are not a supported external integration contract.
For an integration request, contact GenText support with your intended workflow. Authentication, allowed operations, quotas, error responses, and access terms must be agreed before an integration is enabled. Do not send passwords, access tokens, or document contents in your request.
